This guide consists of easy-to-follow instructions coupled with relevant illustrations to make the whole process much easier for you!

How to Draw A Motorcycle

Step 1

Draw two circles with another smaller circle just below the middle of the paper. This forms the front and rear wheels of the motorcycle.

Make sure the wheels are drawn in the right place by creating reference lines.

Draw an intersecting horizontal and vertical line on the paper. The wheels should be drawn just below the horizontal line in the middle.

Step 2

Draw a curved, oblong shape with pointed ends across the top right side of the front wheel.

Next, draw another figure of a similar shape over the rear wheel. This forms the platforms at the top of both wheels. These two platforms also act as a hard protective shell covering the wheels.

Step 3

Draw a slightly diagonal shaft that connects directly to the front wheel. Be sure to add a larger stick figure at the bottom, middle, and top of the bar. This creates the fairings and grips of the motorcycle.

Next, draw a half circle on the right side in the middle of the bar we just drew.

This forms the headlight at the front of the motorcycle. Next, draw two parallel diagonal lines across the lighthouse.

Step 4

Draw a curved figure attached to the platform just above the rear wheel.

This creates the motorcycle seat that riders sit on while riding the motorcycle.

Step 5

Draw a side irregular oval shape right next to the motorcycle seat. This forms the motorcycle’s gas tank where the gas is stored.

Make sure that the left side of the figure is wider and more rounded, while the right side should be narrower and more pointed.

Step 6

Draw an oblique cubic figure with curved edges just below the gas tank. This forms the oil tank of the motorcycle.

For the taillight, simply draw a semi-circle with two lines in the middle that attaches to the platform above the rear wheel. This creates the rear light of the motorcycle.

Step 7

Draw a laterally elongated conical figure that connects directly to the oil tank that we drew in the previous step. This creates the muffler of the motorcycle.

Note that the muffler should start at the oil tank and extend to the rear wheel of the motorcycle as shown in the image above.

Step 8

Draw two parallel lines connecting the motorcycle shaft and the oil tank underneath.

Next, draw an angled line connecting the oil tank and the platform above the rear wheel. This structures the bodywork that supports all parts of the motorcycle.

As you can see in the picture the bike is almost ready! Now only a few details and patterns are missing to complete the drawing!

Step 9

Add more short lines around the edge of both wheels. Next, draw parallel diagonal lines across the surface of the oil tank. This will add details and patterns to the motorcycle, making it look more realistic!

Don’t forget to add more partially visible square figures under the seat to complete all the parts of the bike!

That’s it – you’ve successfully drawn a motorcycle! Now it’s finally time to add colors to the bike to make it colorful and even more realistic!

Motorcycles come in a huge range of colors giving you many color options to choose from when coloring your motorcycle!

Feel free to use any colors you like. We recommend using more than one color to make the bike stand out better!
